Here in Central Texas, I have been able to find the following fruits and vegetables at our local farmer's markets (some organic, some conventional, some chemical-free but not certified organic):
- Strawberries
- Different salad greens
- Spinach
- Brussels sprouts
- Cauliflower
- Leeks
- Onions
- Beets
- Radishes
- Hydroponic tomatoes
- Kale
- Carrots
- Garlic
You can also find the following foods:
- Different meats (pork, chicken, beef, bison, lamb)
- Dairy products (cheese, milk, butter, yogurt)
- Pecans
- Eggs
- Coffee (locally roasted)
MAY
This month of May it was harder for me to get to the Market because my daughter had several out of town tournaments. I was able to make it a couple of times and noticed the following produce:
- Salad greens
- Cauliflower
- Leeks
- Purple onions
- Carrots
- Garlic
- Kale
- Beets
- Cucumbers
- Tomatoes
- Peaches
- Different kinds of squash
- Blackberries
The following foods were available in April as well as May:
- Different meats (pork, chicken, beef, bison, lamb)
- Dairy products (cheese, milk, butter, yogurt)
- Pecans
- Eggs
- Coffee (locally roasted)
